Born in Argentina of Italian parents, Aldo Luongo was overwhelmed by an intense desire to follow in his father's footsteps and become a professional soccer player. The ambition, having been realized, was short-lived due to an injury. However, Aldo's talent as an artist began years before his last professional game when, at the age of fourteen, he had entered the Academy of Fine Arts and subsequently received his degree. It was while in the land of his father's birth that Aldo showed a desire to paint full time. In 1968, a major turning point in Aldo's life, he created thirty originals. Although his subjects cover a broad spectrum, the artist never fails to entice us into his world of romance, passion, and love. Whether it is a rooftop in Italy, a café in Buenos Aires, or his now famous character the "Hawk," Luongo transports us to a world of beautiful scenarios that stem from our greatest daydreams.
